They operate out of Terminal 3 in the Dubai Airport, which was built exclusively for them at a cost of $ 4.5-billion in 2008. The massive terminal covers I423 acres of floor space, making it the second largest building in the world and it can handle 43-million passengers per year. In 2013 Emirates Airlines received the honour of being named Airline of the Year and they have won numerous other prestigious awards.

The current fleet numbers 219 passenger planes, and in 2013 alone they purchased 200 planes and they have another 287 on order. The Emirate Executive service began in 2013 and offers private and corporate charters in Airbus A319 business jets, with seating for 19 people. These luxury planes offer a mixture of seating and private suites with a dining area, a lounge and bathrooms complete with full height showers.
